Privacy, subscriptions & cookies

Baz Security News is a free, public cybersecurity wire. This page explains what we collect, what each subscription sends and how often, and every cookie or browser storage key the site uses.

What we collect

Reading the site requires no account and no personal details. If you subscribe, we store the email address you give us, your chosen cadence and your filter preferences (categories, severities, source tiers, keywords). If you use Domain Watch, we store the domain or brand you asked us to monitor alongside your alert email.

We keep delivery logs (message ID, recipient, status, bounce reason) so we can tell whether an email actually arrived and can suppress addresses that hard-bounce. We do not sell, rent or share your address with third parties, and we do not use it for anything other than the emails you asked for.

What each subscription includes

You choose one cadence and your own filters at /subscribe. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link and honours it immediately.

InstantAs articles are published

Every dispatch matching your chosen categories, severities, source tiers and keywords, sent shortly after it lands in the wire.

HourlyUp to 24 emails a day

A rolled-up digest of anything new in the last hour.

DailyOne email each morning

The 09:00 UK analyst morning briefing: executive summary, Priority 1/2/3 items ranked by criticality, actions list and sources.

WeeklyOne email a week

The week's significant dispatches grouped by category and severity.

MonthlyOne email a month

The monthly report: volume trends, category breakdown and the month's CVE roll-up.

The same coverage is published free on our Telegram channel; subscribing by email is optional. We never send advertising or sponsored mail to subscribers.

Cookies and browser storage

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site relies mostly on first-party local storage, which never leaves your browser except where noted.

Retention and your choices

Subscription records are kept until you unsubscribe; after that the record is deactivated and the address is retained only on our suppression list so we don't mail you again by accident. Delivery logs are kept for troubleshooting and then aged out.

To access, correct or delete anything we hold, unsubscribe from any email or contact us and we'll action it.

Third parties

Articles link out to the original publishers; once you follow a link, that site's own policies apply. Emails are delivered through our transactional email provider, and the site and database are hosted on our cloud backend. Domain Watch lookups may query public reputation services for the domain you enter — no personal data is sent.
